Many families will find that they have to turn to a completely new aspect of home decorating when their children finally want rooms of their own. This is a challenge to parents, as each child may want something different, and their tastes will constantly change as they grow older. Therefore, it is best to just have grasp on some of the basics for decorating children’s room and let them experiment with it themselves later with their own work and posters. After all, as they grow older into teenagers they may soon be looking for some privacy.
If you have young children, you can let them experiment with crepe paper, available in most craft shops and let them paint as much as they want to. This can then be used as portraits to hang up on the wall. This technique has been used commonly by many parents and provides a brief period of relaxation and enjoyment for the child as well.
Older children may want to have their works displayed from class, so you can assist them in decorating their room with their own works by framing portraits, purchasing shelves for easy storage, and being mindful of what they want. If you can work well together to decorate the room how your child wants, they will greatly appreciate the help and hold you in high regard.
Any posters, pictures of movie stars or celebrities, depending on each family and individual can be used to further decorate plain walls, since these materials tend to have a lot of colour and diversity.

There is some great information in this article. As a mother of three young children, I get a lot of artwork and I just hate to put in storage. So, recently I have started to frame some of their works. And what a great addition it makes to their rooms and they love it, too!
